Executive Director
Director of Operations
Shiann Swapp is Cat Care’s Director of Operations and manages all aspects of the cattery. She is a lifelong resident of Colorado and has lived in the Durango area for most of her life. Shiann got her start in animal welfare working for D-snip as a Veterinary Assistant for several years (D-Snip is a local non-profit providing low cost spay/neuter services to the public). After working part time for both non-profits for a time, she decided to make the move to Cat Care on a full-time basis so she could focus all her attention on helping Cat Care fulfill its mission. When Shiann isn’t at Cat Care you can find her instructing kickboxing, Jui Jitsu and self-defense at Durango Martial Arts Academy, where she has been instructing for over 15 years. She also has a passion for the outdoors and loved hiking, camping, and recreating with her husband and pup Moqui, or just spending quality time with all of her fur babies.
Kennel Tech Manager
Bailey was born and raised right here in beautiful Durango. Once she graduated Durango High School, she moved up to the big city of Denver to attend The Art Institute of Colorado to expand her knowledge in the Photography world. Her love for animals and art came together while becoming apart of Cat Care Durango. Some of her other passions include Jiu Jitsu, mushroom hunting and coffee. She’s also a sucker for tuxedo kitties.
